Best Ihome Wireless Speaker Review 2022
#01 – iHome iBTW38 Alarm Clock Bluetooth Stereo with Lightning iPhone Qi Wireless Charging Dock Station for iPhone Xs, XS Max, XR, X, iPhone 8/7/6 Plus USB Port to Charge Any USB Device
We had an older home system that we liked and wanted to upgrade, but the volume could only be turned up to 10. My old one was the main source of music in my house, allowing me to avoid having to use the massive stereo. The first one is 40 pages long. I’m not sure why the volume setting in the latest version is so awful.
This device functioned flawlessly for a short period of time. We had a problem with the Bluetooth connection stuttering, which was annoying if you were listening to music to fall asleep to. Is there a way out? Yes, and they were more than happy to help. Unplug it, use a screwdriver to remove the battery, then wait 20 minutes (!) before reassembling everything and manually resetting the time and calendar.
Don’t try to connect to Bluetooth if someone is sleeping in the room. It makes a loud proclamation that does not appear to be mutable.
- Sound is very limited
- Started off well enough
#02 – iHome iAVS16 Bedside Speaker with Alexa Built In, Bluetooth, and USB Charging, Now Supports Spotify by Voice
We’ve used this device for a year, and while the sound quality is excellent, the functionality is lacking. My unit’s display goes out after an hour or two, and we have to constantly reset it. For the price, it’s not a true quality item, and I’d look elsewhere before buying it.
We like that it comes with Alexa and that you can tell it to do things like set an alarm and so on. After a few months of use, however, it gets buggy and must be reset on a regular basis. This means you’ll have to reprogramme both the device and your apps.
The top buttons and the clock face are both lit. The brightness of the buttons on top of the clock does not dim when the brightness of the clock face dims. The top buttons cast a blue glow across the ceiling above the bed. A bedside clock’s light should not be used in the bedroom.
- Great concept–but there’s still work to be done
- Not enough quality for the price
The lights shot up more faster than usual, and it only took me seconds to turn them off. If they’ve been on for a while, they’ll come off easy with just a pull.
They are damage-free, have been tried and tested numerous times, and they remove cleanly. They hang and hold goods such as calendars, calenders, and other items securely. My daughter had some curtain lights that she wanted to put along her bedroom wall.
We purchased Christmas lights to place in my conservatory (after years spent trying sellotape, gaffa tape and Pritt stick pads and others).
- Clean surface, wipe gently, let dry
- Press adhesive to clip
- Remove back
- Press clip firmly for 30 seconds
- Never pull strip towards you
- Hold clip gently to prevent hook from snapping fingers
- Stretch it straight down along the wall until strip releases from wall
#04 – iHome iKN105BC Dual Charging Bluetooth Stereo Alarm Clock Radio/Speakerphone with NFC, Removable Power
- Great sound and the battery comes in handy
- Great concept but NOT great quality
#05 – iHome Bluetooth Speaker Home Office Bedside Clock Speaker System Built in Alexa WiFi Enabled USB Charging Port Far Field Voice Activation Smart Home Control (IAV14)
We can’t connect it to my landlord’s wifi network because it’s 5g and this only connects to 2.4g, but that’s not included in the description. The Bluetooth connection is established, however it is a little sluggish.
The device itself is fantastic, but Alexa isn’t. We assumed that changing the wireless would fix the problem, however Alex takes an inordinate amount of time to respond for reasons I don’t understand. What is the quality of Alexa’s construction?
This item operated admirably until about a month ago. My Wi-Fi network continues to drop connections despite the fact that nothing has changed. Rather, invest in an Amazon Echo Show and use it as an alarm clock. This item does not have the ability to play music or video.
- Great alarm
- Loses Wi-Fi connectivity and not fully functional with Alexa
#06 – iHome iBT232 Bluetooth Dual Alarm Clock FM Radio with Speakerphone and USB Charging -Gray (Newest Model)
It’s been a week since we used it. In my perspective, the sound quality is superb. The ease of use is satisfactory, but the guide must be read beforehand. We like to listen to the tones and listen to the radio in the morning. It’s an excellent radio security system. The item’s open box had disappointed me greatly. It was obvious that it had been returned and utilised. If it had been a present, I would have had to return it. We had hoped for more for the money.
The device is very pricey, and the sound quality is awful, with no bass or treble settings. For a restful night’s sleep, the low volume setting is insufficient. The display brightness is insufficient for a darkened sleeping environment once again.
The clock is stylish and appealing. The audio quality is outstanding. To protect the numbers (display) from being too bright at night, they can be dimmed or buried while the clock is running. The bad news is that there are so many programming options that setting up the alarm is difficult. I’m still not sure if I’m doing it correctly all of the time. If you want something simple, this is not the alarm clock for you. If you want a gorgeous alarm clock that also acts as a speaker and you have the patience to read the instructions a few times, this clock is a great match.
- Great alarm
- Perfect Little Clock Radio!
#07 – iHome iBTW23 Alarm Clock Bluetooth Stereo with Lightning iPhone Qi Wireless Charging Dock Station for iPhone Xs, XS Max, XR, X, iPhone 8/7/6 Plus USB Port to Charge Any USB Device
We purchased it since it has a charger for charging your phone. The good news, however, comes to an end there. The buttons are made of cheap plastic, the product feels cheap, the sound is poor, and it’s tough to use – not intuitive. We used to have an Ihome that we loved, but it was only good for old-school iPod docking, so we traded it in. This was a huge letdown. A different firm or product might be suggested.
Your phone’s speakers are significantly louder than the ihome’s. It astonished me to discover such poor quality; given how light it is, there’s no need to read the directions, and the price tag isn’t justified.
This is the only time I’ve ever had an iHome product that didn’t work. Alarm clocks do not allow you to change the time they sound. 6:00 a.m. has been set as the alarm time. Do you want to get up at 8:30 a.m. every day? You must get up at 6:00 a.m., sorry.
- Almost Great!
- Not worth the price tag, your phone speakers are louder
Fast and undamaged delivery. It’s worth noting that the connectors are interchangeable. There is no clasp to keep the blades in place. To keep things tight, you might need to use electrical tape.
Despite what Amazon and Metra claim, these are the harnesses required for Pontiac G8s, and they function flawlessly, with the female ends fitting nicely on my pioneer male ends.
They fit perfectly, but they aren’t designed to function with the locking portion, which must slide over the connector. We ended up glueing them together to keep them from separating due to vibration.
Though these did fit my 96 Miata’s stock speaker cable plug (sort of, there’s no clip, so they don’t fit snugly),
- They work but install properly and take extra step
- Fits but doesn’t click into connector
A fantastic product EXCEPT with the 3.5mm jack, they didn’t add mic passthrough… It’s a huge negative, and there’s no reason not to include it, as far as aware. Another annoyance is that the side LEDs do not change or turn off with the bottom LED bar, remaining on green at all times…
Don’t let the star rating deceive you. This speaker was a letdown, and Immediately knew We had to return it the moment We connected it to my Mac Mini.
In October 2021, after investigating several possibilities, We acquired this speaker for my home office makeover.
This small speaker is wonderful when connected to a Mac mini! You’ll need an external speaker if you have a Mac mini.
- Well packaged
- Seem not cheap made
- It’s small so perfect on my desk
- Can plug the sounder on my win10 desktop
- The cable is well made but so much short. On cable and at the end it’s splitting for usb and 3.5mm
Within 24-48 hours, the item was delivered from the local shopping mall. I’ve used it at home on a desktop computer, on the go in my bag, and in the car with an extension cord from my phone. These make any phone, laptop, desktop, or television into a full-fledged experience. They are not stereo, despite being daisy-chained for increased sound.
The bass is startlingly loud on these small speakers. They’re compatible with both my Mac and iPod. They’re light and simple to move. For a bigger volume, link two or three together (for presentations). The primary problem is that the cable quickly wears down; the longer you travel with it coiled up, the more unsteady it becomes.
We acquired a purple variant of this Mini Speaker approximately two years ago. (15 January 2015) We listen to audiobooks for 10-15 hours a week while working on my iPad Mini, and it’s still going strong.
- Daisy chain-able
- Protective sleeve
- Acceptable sound on the go
- Compact / adjustable design
- LED light in the eye
